In order to activate your account, you have to click on that link.

This form is to be used ONLY if you have already registered and have lost or forgotten your Username or Password.
To access the recovery form click on "Lost Username or Password" in the menu-navigation bar.
Your Username and Password will be sent to the e-mail address you provided when you registered with Watercolors by Jack.

    How to Bid

If you have not registered yet, please read the Auction Terms before completing the registration form. Registration is required to bid. When you have registered and recieved your password, you are ready to bid. The Bidder has two ways to make a bid and selction is made using radio buttons at the bottom of the Item page.

The first way to make a bid is to use the "Increase my highest bid" option. This is a manual process where you enter the amount you want to bid and then "Place Bid".

Watercolors by Jack also uses a Bid-Agent to allow bidders to "proxy" bid the maximum amount they are willing to pay for an auction item. This function is found on each item's individual bidding page just above the "Place Bid" button. This Bid-Agent will increase bids by the current bid increment as necessary until your maximum is reached. Your maximum bid is held in confidence by the system and the amount is used only to maintain your high bid position. For example, you're willing to pay .00 for an item and the starting bid price is .00. You could bid .00 on this item and if you are using the Bid-Agent, it will show a current bid of .00 (if the minimum bid increment required is .00). If someone else then bids .00 against your .00 current bid, the Bid-Agent will automatically increase your current bid to .00 and so on untill your .00 is exhausted or surpassed.

Please note that even though a Reserve Price has been met, bidding will remain open for an additional 5 minutes after the Deadline if the last bid was made just before the Deadline. Subsequent bids reset the 5 additional minutes function.

Our system will automatically email you if your maximum bid is outbid by another bidder, subject to the reliability of your email service. However, you might be outbid minutes or seconds before the close of an auction, in which case you may not have the opportunity to place a new bid. Therefore, you may want to bid the maximum amount you would be willing to pay for the auction lot when you place your first bid via the Bid-Agent.

Please note, that as stated in the Auction Terms, by placing a bid you are making a contract between you and the seller. Once you place a bid, you may not retract it. In many states, it is illegal to win an auction and not purchase the item; if you don't want to pay for it, please don't bid. You may Not not use currency symbols and you Must include the cents (x.00) in your bid or an error will be generated.

If You Have The Winning Bid

You will be Notified by email if you have the winning bid (the bid you submitted was the high bid and exceeded the reserve price). This confirmation will include your Username, Auction Item Number, Auction Title, Your Winning Bid Amount, Sellers Contact Information and some Reminders from Watercolors by Jack Auction Site. You can also login to "My-Auction Center" and verify if you have successfully bid on an item.

Payments for Winning Bids placed are made directly to the Seller.

    Some Important Points

    1. If you submit a bid on an item, it cannot be canceled and you are obligated to pay in the event that you win the item. Unless you are absolutely certain you wish to purchase an item for any amount, up to that of your maximum bid, do not place any bid on any item. You will be held accountable for your bidding.
    2. Do not forget that if you have registered you have unconditionally agreed to the conditions of the Auction Terms and are legally bound by them.

I placed a bid but wasn't listed as high bidder in the Bid History?
It is very important that you refresh you browser frequently to make sure you have the latest auction data...clear your browser's cache (reload or refresh the page).

When I tried to bid I received a message saying "Error Regfile: XXX could not be opened".
You might not have completed registration. Find the email which has details of your Username and Password. There is a hyperlink below where it says Please click. This will take you back to the auction site and complete your registration. There is also the possibility that you entered an incorrect Username or Password. Please enter both and try again.

How come my bid failed with the amount I submitted?
Be very careful when submitting your bid and make sure that you are using the option you want to; with the Use my Bid-Agent or the Increase my highest bid option, otherwise you could find yourself in trouble.
All bids must follow the bid increment indicated on the item page based on the minimum bid amount required to participate. The bid you entered may not met the minimum for the bid increment.

Where do I find information and details about an item?
Item information and details are located on each item page. The best way is to click on "Categories" in the menu-navigation bar and then click on the Green colored listing under Category. You can also access these item pages from the main screen by clicking on their thumbnail photo.

How will I know if someone has out bid me?
You will be sent an e-mail notification whenever your bid has been out-bid as high bidder. To be safe (in case of email malfunctions), you should also revisit the auction item page during the auction to see if your name has been bumped off the top line (high bidder) on the displayed Bid History table-list.

I have registered but not received any e-mail message.
Are you sure you entered your correct email address? Sometimes it may take a few minutes for you to receive the email.
If the problem persists contact the AUCTION ADMINISTRATOR

How does someone leave feedback and read feedback left by other buyers?
There must be at least one sold item.

If so ...To Rate the Seller of the item you bought
    - click 'My Auction center' and enter your Username and Password and then
    - select 'My Bought Items' and click the 'Continue ...' button in order to rate the seller.

And ...To Rate the Buyer of the item you sold
    - click 'My Auction center' and enter your Username and Password and then
    - select 'My Sold Items' and click the 'Continue ...' button in order to rate the buyer.

And ...To see the Ratings by previous buyers on a Seller
    - On the item's page find Offered By:
    - to the right you will see Seller Alias (0) - click the number (0) link to display all of their ratings.

    About ...Bonus
    - The seller can rate the buyer on 2 variables (the buyer can get max. 2 rating-points)
    - The buyer can rate the seller on 5 variables (the seller can get max. 5 rating-points)
    - That is not fair.
    - So, the bonus-system is the compensation factor (parity) between seller and buyer.

    May I retract my bid?
If you bid on an item, you are obligated to pay in the event that you win the item. Unless you are absolutely certain you wish to purchase an item for any amount, up to that of your maximum bid, do not place any bid on any item. You will be held accountable for your bidding.

    Who pays for shipping?
The Seller should list shipping costs and terms in the Auction description. Generally the shipping costs are pais by the buyer. If they are not specified then you should contact the seller before bidding.

How do I pay the seller?
The BEST AND PREFERRED method for most Sellers is to use Paypal.  Other Acceptable methods of payment include money order and cashiers check. All payments made via Money Order must include the shipping address and item number. It is the Sellers responsibility to contact the Buyer and make payment arrangements.

    What is Paypal?
PayPal is the preferred payment method for most Buyers and Sellers. PayPal is used quite often on Ebay and enables you to send payments quickly and securely online using a credit card or bank account.
When you select PayPal as the payment method, you go to the PayPal site, where you can send your payment. If you do not already have a PayPal account, you can sign up for an account. At PayPal, you can choose how you would like to fund your PayPal payment (for example, using a checking account, credit card, or PayPal balance) and then send the payment. If you use PayPal, a seller may require a credit card billing address registered at PayPal, sometimes called a "confirmed" address.

    Advantages When Using Paypal
--- It is FREE to sign up and open an account.
--- Payment is traceable. You can track the status of your payment using your PayPal account.
--- Is immediate and convenient. You pay directly from the item listing page and payment is deposited directly into the seller's account.
--- Does not require you to use your credit card online (you can transfer directly from your bank account). Sellers don't see your credit card number (it is safely encrypted through PayPal's server), which limits the risk of unauthorized use.
--- Offers PayPal Buyer Protection on qualifying items - up to ,000 in free coverage. Additional limited protection is offered through PayPal's Money Back Guarantee.

Why do some auctions have 'Reserve Prices'? What are these?
A reserve price means the seller is not obligated to sell below that price. The purpose of this is to protect the seller from selling an item for less than they want to.
Why doesn't a seller just start the auction at their minimum price, thereby eliminating the need for reserve pricing?
There can be a number of reasons for using a reserve price. An example would be that it draws more interest and creates more auction dynamics if the price starts lower, just to get the bidding started.

Why do some auctions offer a Buy-It-Now Price ? What is this?
This is an instant purchase price determined by the seller. It is an amount that can be paid in order to end the auction early, thereby guaranteeing a winning bid. If you do not see the Buy-It-Now Price next to an item that is still up-for-auction, click on the "Reserve Price Met" link.
